Clanker launched in November 2024 — built by Farcaster engineer Jack Dishman and Farcaster ecosystem founder @proxystudio.eth — as a bot that mints a new token whenever a user tags @clanker in a Farcaster cast. CLANKER was the very first token launched by the bot on day one, making it the canonical reference asset for the entire Clanker memecoin economy.
